Gamblers and their girls!
Good old reliable Nathan Detroit, Hot Box sweetie Miss Adelaide, suave high roller Sky Masterson, and Salvation Army Mission “doll” Sarah Brown are just a few of the memorable characters who will take center stage when Lyric Theatre Company presents Guys & Dolls, a Musical Fable of Broadway, this spring.
Based on a story and characters created by Damon Runyon and featuring music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, the show has been a hit since it first opened on Broadway in the 50s. The score is classic with memorable melodies like “A Bushel and a Peck,” “Luck be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” and “I’ve Never Been in Love Before.” Come be part of the fun when two die-hard gamblers make the bet of their lives--choosing between the pounding of the heart and the rolling of the dice!
