(Williston, VT) –The Lyric Theatre Education Committee is pleased to announce that Hannah Whitney is the recipient  of the Delano-Nulty Scholarship for 2007.  Hannah is a senior at Champlain Valley Union High School and has appeared in their productions of Les Miserables, Into the Woods and Leader of the Pack.  Hannah has also appeared with the Vermont Stage Company and has studied at the Circle in the Square School in New York City. Lyric audiences know her as Gertrude, the loveable bird who wanted a bigger tail, in our 2006 production of Seussical the Musical.  The $1,000 scholarship will help Hannah with her studies at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts where she is majoring in musical theatre.  Lyric extends our best wishes for success to all of the incredibly qualified candidates who applied for the scholarship this year.
