Lyric Theatre Company Awards $1,000 Scholarship To CVU Teenager

LYRIC THEATRE AWARDS $1,000 SCHOLARSHIP TO CVU TEENAGER

(Williston, VT) – Lyric Theatre Company, Vermont’s oldest community musical theatre group, is proud to announce the 2006 recipient of the annual Delano-Nulty Scholarship.  Ian Cramer received the $1,000 award, which will help him to pursue his studies in Theatre Arts at Hofstra University in New York.  Cramer is the 24th recipient of the annual scholarship award named after Lyric founders Howard Delano and Polly Nulty.

Cramer is a graduate of Champlain Valley Union High School and has performed with the CVU Theatre Club, CVU Jazz Band and the Lamoille County Players.  Cramer’s Lyric Theatre roles have been in “Grease” and as the Grinch in “Seussical the Musical”. 

 

Lyric Theatre Company was established in 1974 and produces a spring and fall show each year at the Flynn Center for Performing Arts.  Lyric’s fall 2006 show will be “Fiddler on the Roof” followed by their spring 2007 show, “Guys & Dolls”.  For more information, please call Syndi Zook at the contact number above or visit www.lyrictheatrevt.org
